Mert deals with liability and insurance law and disciplinary law. He has keen analytical skills and enjoys sinking his teeth into complex procedures and questions in which he consistently bears in mind the interests of the client when reaching the optimum solutions for the case in question.
Mert studied technology and social studies before starting his law degree. This has turned out to be the perfect combination: Mert sees law as a challenging combination of technology and ethics in which human behaviour and social structures play a role that should not be underestimated. He obtained his doctorate in the field of civil law of evidence. Mert is a partner in the firm and a deputy justice at the Amsterdam Court of Appeal.
