This includes the processing of data from our website (trip.nl). For the purpose of processing this information we are the data controller as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process your data carefully and in accordance with the applicable privacy law, including the GDPR. We obtain your data from i) you yourself, ii) third parties (such as clients, opposing parties and cooperating partners), or iii) from public sources such as the Commercial Register, the Chamber of Commerce, the Land Registry Office and (for notarial service provision only) the Key Register of Persons. For instance, collating and saving client data and providing information to the tax authorities, public registers and regulatory authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Applications and recruitment<\/span><br>We process the data you share with us when applying for a position (via email\/post, the application form on our website or through social media) or that we receive from recruiters in order to contact you as part of our application process or to process your application. We also process data with respect to one of our meetings\/events for students (including for registration).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Access control<\/span><br>For security reasons (such as an emergency evacuation), we maintain a list of visitors to our business premises. These lists are destroyed at the end of the given day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Use and improvement of our website<\/span><br>We process statistics regarding visits and use of our website. We will only do this if we deem it necessary. We will only share your data with trusted parties and will ensure that process is safeguarded appropriately. We may possibly share your personal data with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Public authorities such as the tax authorities, judicial authorities, the Land Registry Office, the Chamber of Commerce and regulatory authorities.<\/li><li>Clients and opposing parties.<\/li><li>Cooperating partners and other service providers such as banks, insurers, bailiffs, estate agents, medical advisors, accountants, tax consultants and other consultants.<\/li><li>External suppliers such as ICT service providers, hosting and cloud service providers and other suppliers we outsource our support services to.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a third party we share your data with is deemed to be a processor as defined by the GDPR, we will also close a processing agreement with the third party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"retention-period\"><strong><br><strong>Retention period<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will retain your personal data in accordance with the GDPR and specific mandatory statutory retention periods. The data is not kept longer than is strictly necessary for achieving the goals for which the data has been collected and in order to meet legal requirements. Notarial deeds will be retained indefinitely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"your-privacy-rights\"><strong><br><strong>Your privacy rights<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the GDPR you have multiple rights. You have the right to request us to inspect, rectify, delete, limit and transfer your personal data. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. If you wish to make use of these rights, you can contact us. For instance due to the processing of certain personal data being necessary in order for us to meet our legal obligations, in particular our obligation to observe secrecy, or due to other exceptions such as the rights and freedoms of third parties or in the interests of conducting legal proceedings. Notarial deeds may not be changed or deleted. Any withdrawal of consent will not detract from the legitimacy of previous processing of your data. You are also entitled to submit a complaint to the regulatory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Dutch DPA).
