mr. M.Th.J.H. (Maarten) Straatman

Maarten’s specialism means he frequently works on complex real estate matters, in particular structuring divisions of ownership. His smart approach to special legal concepts (ground lease, right of superficies, division of apartment rights, and easements) means that relationships can be satisfactorily and sustainably noted. In recent years, he has advised on various wind and solar parks and has considerable experience in the field of network (cables and piping) property.

Maarten also works in commercial property, handling both acquisitions and sales. In 2009, he followed the course in financing and securities offered by the Grotius Centre. And finally, since 2016, he has been a pro bono advisor to Stichting Beschermende Wieg (the ‘Protected Cradle Foundation’). The foundation works to support the interests of women wanting to anonymously give up their newborn child.
